Value added is the net output of a sector after adding up all outputs and subtracting intermediate inputs. It is calculated without making deductions for depreciation of fabricated assets or depletion and degradation of natural resources. The origin of value added is determined by the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC), revision 3. Data are in current local currency.

Other manufacturing includes wood and related products (division 33), paper and paper-related products (division 34), petroleum and related products (groups 353-56), basic metals and mineral products (divisions 36 and 37), fabricated metal products and professional goods (groups 381 and 385), and other industries (group 390). Includes unallocated data. When data for textiles, machinery, or chemicals are shown as not available, they are included in other manufacturing.
  • Adjusted savings > Mineral depletion > % of GNI: Mineral depletion is equal to the product of unit resource rents and the physical quantities of minerals extracted. It refers to bauxite, copper, iron, lead, nickel, phosphate, tin, zinc, gold, and silver.
  • Manufactures exports > % of merchandise exports: Manufactures exports (% of merchandise exports). Manufactures comprise commodities in SITC sections 5 (chemicals), 6 (basic manufactures), 7 (machinery and transport equipment), and 8 (miscellaneous manufactured goods), excluding division 68 (non-ferrous metals).
