DEFINITION:
Inflows of foreign population into selected OECD countries in 2000. Data from population registers are not fully comparable because the criteria governing who gets registered differ from country to country. Counts for the Netherlands, Norway and especially Germany include substantial numbers of asylum seekers. For more details on sources, refer to the notes at the end of the Annex to the OECD statistics.
