Definitions
- Capital city: The location of the seat of government.
- Legal system > Legal system: This list shows the legal systems followed by each of the countries of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland). England and Sctoland have their own separate systems, while Wales mixes English laws with their own system, and Northen Ireland has two complementary sets of laws. Out of the four countries, England is the only one without its own parliament.
- Legislature (parliament) > People per member: Number of people each member of the legislature represents on average. The number of members of the legislature is the sum of the members of all chambers of parliament, if applicable.
