Alcohol > Alcohol consumed from > Homemade and illegal drinks:
Average liters of pure alcohol consumed annually in the form of “unrecorded alcohol” by the population above 14 years of age. The consumption of tourists is excluded for countries with more tourists per year than resident population.
“Unrecorded alcohol” is not taxed and is outside of governmental control. It includes alcohol that is homemade (legally or illegally), smuggled or obtained through cross-border shopping. Data is collected through investigations and expert judgment. - Alcohol > Alcohol consumed from > Spirits: Average liters of pure alcohol consumed annually in the form of spirits, by population above 14 years of age (excludes illegally produced spirits).
