Definitions
- Commitment to Development Index (immigration): This is a sub-index of the Commitment to Development Index (CDI), which ranks rich countries’ policies is terms of how beneficial they are to the world’s five billion poorest people. The migration sub-index is based on net-inflows of migrants from developing countries, openness to students from those countries and aid offered to refugees and asylum seekers. - Country of birth of Australian resident population: Australian residents born outside of Australia by country of birth.
- Country of birth of Australian resident population per thousand people: Australian residents born outside of Australia by country of birth. Figures expressed per thousand people for the same year.
- Cultural Diversity Index: The probability that two individuals selected at random from a country speak a very different language. A high score of close to 1 indicates that many unrelated languages are spoken. A score of close to 0 means that few languages are spoken, and / or that the spoken languages are similar to one another. For more information, please refer to Fearon (see citation).
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Arab population: Arab population in each country. France is the only European country with over 1 million Arabs.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Greeks: Members of the Greek diaspora by country of residence. Whether a member of the diaspora is defined as a Greek citizen, by ancestry or by self-identification varies by country.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Hispanic and Latino: Percentage of each country's total population considered Hispanic/Latino.

Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Jews > Enlarged Jewish population:
Jewish population by country. The enlarged Jewish community includes Jews, non-Jews with Jewish ancestry and non-Jewish members of Jewish households.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Percent of population of African descent: Percentage of each country's population that is of African descent. These numbers include people mixed with African descent as well.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Russians: Number of residents who are ethnic Russians and maintain a feeling of Russian national identity.
- Ethnic Fractionalization Index: The probability that two individuals selected at random from a country will be from different ethnic groups, 0 meaning that each individual in this country is from the same ethnic group. - Nationality compositions of > China, source countries of residents per million people: Foreign nationals living in China by nationality. Figures expressed per million people for the same year.
