Definitions
- Commitment to Development Index (immigration): This is a sub-index of the Commitment to Development Index (CDI), which ranks rich countries’ policies is terms of how beneficial they are to the world’s five billion poorest people. The migration sub-index is based on net-inflows of migrants from developing countries, openness to students from those countries and aid offered to refugees and asylum seekers. - Cultural Diversity Index: The probability that two individuals selected at random from a country speak a very different language. A high score of close to 1 indicates that many unrelated languages are spoken. A score of close to 0 means that few languages are spoken, and / or that the spoken languages are similar to one another. For more information, please refer to Fearon (see citation).
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Canadians: Amount of naturalized Canadians or Canadian citizens living in each country as of 2014.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Chechen population centres: City with the largest Chechen population in each country.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Jewish > Percent Jewish: Percentage of population that is Jewish.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Jews > Core Jewish population: Jewish population by country. The core Jewish community comprises only Jews.
- Destination countries of nationalities and ethnic groups > Jews > Core Jewish population per thousand people: Jewish population by country. The core Jewish community comprises only Jews. Figures expressed per thousand people for the same year.

Jewish population by country. The enlarged Jewish community includes Jews, non-Jews with Jewish ancestry and non-Jewish members of Jewish households.

- Ethnic Fractionalization Index: The probability that two individuals selected at random from a country will be from different ethnic groups, 0 meaning that each individual in this country is from the same ethnic group. - Nationality compositions of > Maastricht per million people: (Jan). Figures expressed per million people for the same year.
- Nationality compositions of > Norway: Country of origin of Norway’s population who was either foreign born or born in Norway to foreign residents (number of people by country of origin).
- Nationality compositions of Canada, share of immigrants: Portion of immigrants in Canada.
- Population born in another EU state: Amount of residents of EU countries born outside of their country of residence, but inside the EU.
- Population born outside EU: Amount of residents of EU countries born outside of the EU.
- Population born outside EU per million people: Amount of residents of EU countries born outside of the EU. Figures expressed per million people for the same year.
- Refugees and asylum seekers > Accepted asylum applications: Countries of the European Union compared by accepted asylum applications during the year 2012. Data compiled by Mona W. Claussen, based on numbers from Eurostat, an statistical office dependent on the European Union.
