Hi Augustus, the Berlin Wall, separated West Berlin from East Berlin and the rest of East Germany, which was part of the Soviet Bloc. It was constructed in 1961 to restrict access between West Berlin and East Germany.

The National animal of Germany is the "Stein Adler" (Aquila chrysaetos)

Germany is a nice place for people who search for cool party and friendly people. Night Clubs, Discos and everything you need for making a good party ^_^ Berlin is nice and of course places in the south like in Bavaria or the Western places in "Nord Rhein Westfalen" like Köln, Bonn or Essen. You can meet a lot of historical places. Discover German culture or educate at their schools a German education is well known everywhere.

hugh,

The Berlin Wall was built to keep the west out while the Russians taught the East Germans a lesson in revenge. While the allies worked hard to build Germany back up, Russian soldiers slaughtered East German men, raped the women, and installed repressive regimes to beat the Germans into submission, and kept them paranoid and inline with the Stazi secret police. The west already tried to beat Germany into submission after WWI... it didn't work, and in fact sowed the seeds for WWII.
