At first glance, the carbon dioxide emission rates for India appear high compared to more industrialised countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom. This is misleading as India's population is significantly higher than those countries. If this statistic is viewed per capita, India's ranking falls to 115th, signficantly lower than Germany (22nd) and the United Kingdom (25th).

Carbon dioxide enters the atmosphere when wood or fossil fuels such as oil, coal and natural gas are burned. The largest contribution to carbon dioxide emissions are fossil fuel powered electricity generation, some industrial processes (such as metal refining) and motor vehicle exhaust.

India has only 12 motor vehicles per 1000 people, however 81% of its electicity is generated from fossil fuels.

Comparison of CO2 emissions from volcanoes vs. human activities.
Scientists have calculated that volcanoes emit between about 130-230 million tonnes (145-255 million tons) of CO2 into the atmosphere every year (Gerlach, 1991). This estimate includes both sub-aerial and submarine volcanoes, about in equal amounts.
------------------------
TOXIC GAS concentration from VOLCANOES is FAR MORE DEADLY & Life threatening than what humans can do. (JUST VOLCANOES ALONE STATS).
-----------------------
There are also stats on tundras that produce more pollution than the human race could ever do.
-----------------------
Across the globe, thousands of coal fires are burning. Nearly impossible to reach and extinguish once they get started, the underground blazes threaten towns and roads, poison the air and soil.
Some of the underground fires are natural occurrences. When coal, exposed at or near the surface by erosion, combines with oxygen, a chemical reaction produces heat.
Much of the landscape of the American West— its mesas and escarpments—is the result of vast, ancient coal fires.
Many ancient fires like those still burn, from the Canadian Arctic to southeast Australia. Scientists estimate that Australia’s BurningMountain, the oldest known coal fire, has burned for 6,000 years. In the 19th century, explorers mistook the smoking summit for a volcano.

This would lower the need for not only fuel for transportation but create more jobs in the US and lower the need for other nations to provide transportation to the US.
The US should also stop immigration to the US except in very limited circumstances, again as the population of the US goes up the new immigrants increase their use of CO2 emitting products. The US has had a stable population for sometime except for immigration.
Governments and international agencies, non-profits should also explore other ways besides travel to foreign nation to communicate, such as modern technology advances of video, secure phones, etc.
